Arsenal are keeping tabs on Wolves star Pedro Neto ahead of a potential January move, according to reports.

The Gunners have made another strong start to their Premier League campaign after their 4-0 victory over Bournemouth saw them maintain their unbeaten run.

Mikel Arteta will be all-too familiar with this situation, after their title charge last season, and will be well aware of the need to strengthen his side in January.

With that in mind, reports have now emerged that suggest the Spaniard has identified a potential transfer target ahead of the winter window.

According to The Mirror, Arsenal are monitoring the situation of Wolves winger Neto ahead of a potential move.

The 23-year-old has been in stellar form for Gary O’Neil’s side this season, having picked up four assists and one goal in their opening seven matches.

As Mail Sport reported last summer, the Gunners have had a long-standing interest in the Portugal international.

They were considering launching a bid for the winger in 2022 however he was valued at over £50million – with Arsenal looking to pay around £35m.

Despite this, Arsenal have been in discussions with agent Jorge Mendes over the Portugal international for a while, and are hoping a deal can be agreed.

Neto has been a key figure since his arrival from Braga in 2019 and has made 118 appearances for Wolves – scoring 12 goals and recording 17 assists.

Should Neto join Arsenal, he’ll do well to improve their attack as they proved their domination up-front with a 4-0 victory over Bournemouth on Saturday.

Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard, Kai Havertz and Ben White were all on target for Arteta’s side as they maintained their unbeaten run and rose to third in the table.
