Former Arsenal hero Mesut Ozil clowned Tottenham Hotspur for their poor form – branding the club ‘Bottle Job FC’.
Ozil, 35, played for the Gunners from 2013 to 2021, where he won four FA Cups and was a Europa League runner-up in their 2019 defeat to fellow Premier League side Chelsea. Spending the longest stretch of his career in North London, the German World Cup winner very much still bleeds red and it certainly showed in his latest social media post.
Despite opening the scoring in their clash against on West Ham on Thursday (December 7), they ended up losing 2-1 as Ange Postecoglou's side set an unwanted record of becoming the first Premier League side to take the lead in five straight matches and not gone onto win the game.

The OptaJoe X (formerly known as Twitter) account posted the unfortunate record the North London club now possess who also became the first Prem team to lose three consecutive home games despite going up 1-0 up in each match.
The former Real Madrid star couldn't pass up an opportunity to clown his old rivals as he quoted the post with the caption: "Who else should be able to break that record? Bottle Job FC is back’."

Despite an electric start to the season that saw Spurs win eight of their opening 10 games, they suffered their first league defeat of the season at home to Chelsea in a crushing 4-1 loss. The game was chockful of action with Spurs having Cristian Romero and Destiny sent off as well as losing James Maddison and Micky van de Ven to injury.
They've picked up just one point since, having lost to Wolves, Aston Villa and now West Ham while they did rescue a point in their thrilling 3-3 draw with Manchester City at the Etihad earlier this month.
