Carlo Ancelotti has stated that Real Madrid will not be making any more signings in this transfer window, effectively confirming that Kylian Mbappe won’t be joining from Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

Mbappe has been heavily linked with a move to Real with the forward having refused to sign a new deal with less than a year remaining on his current contract.

However, if Mbappe is to make the switch to The Bernabeu, it seems likely that it will happen either in January or next summer, when he will be a free agent.

Asked whether Real’s transfer activity for this window was over, Ancelotti said: ‘100%. There will be no new signings. It’s over, the team is complete.’

Jude Bellingham, who arrived from Borussia Dortmund, was Real’s main signing of the transfer window.

Bellingham has got off to an excellent start at Real, with the midfielder having scored three goals in just two appearances so far.

In addition, Real brought in goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga on loan from Chelsea, while they signed Arda Guler from Fenerbahce and Fran Garcia arrived from Rayo Vallecano.

Real lost striker Karim Benzema to Al-Ittihad, with Mbappe seen as a potential replacement.

However, it appears that Ancelotti will use internal solutions for now, with Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo, for instance, having started up front against Almeria.

PSG are reportedly demanding a world record fee of £213million for Mbappe, who turned down the chance to join Al-Hilal earlier in the transfer window.
