- They urged players not to act like the ‘little b***ches’ who had left the club
Chelsea defender Malo Gusto has been singled out by Lyon ultras as one of ‘three little b***ches’ who left the club during their angry dressing down of players in the wake of their 4-1 defeat against PSG this week.
Lyon stars were humiliated after their thrashing at home to the French champions – who were 4-0 up at half time – and a vocal representative of the club’s ‘Bad Gones’ supporters’ group, known as the ‘capo’, made sure the players felt the wrath of fans.
Fans unfurled a banner that read, ‘If there are leaders in the locker room, they no longer have the right to remain silent’, before the squad slowly made their way over to main stand inside the to be addressed by the capo.
He let rip at the team as well as the ‘three little b***ches’ who left this summer, including Gusto, who joined Chelsea for £26million in January, starlet Bradley Barcola – who moved to PSG for £43m and Castello Lukeba.
‘To the Olympique Lyonnais 2023-2024 squad, this message is addressed to you,’ he said.

Lyon players were given a humiliating dressing down by the group amid their woeful form
‘To those who assume the status of dressing-room leaders, the message is clear: If there are leaders in this dressing room, they no longer have the right to remain silent.
‘You’re wearing the Olympique Lyonnais jersey. You’re the ones who wear the Olympique Lyon jersey. Others before you have worn it, glorified it.
‘You don’t have the right to tarnish it. Now that the transfer window is over, the squad is here. All we ask is to be by your side.
‘But to do that, you’re going to have to earn it. We love and respect this shirt.
‘There’s only one other thing we ask: to sing your names. Sing them with love, not like we sang the names of the little b***hes. who have left our club in the last six months.
‘We want to sing your names with respect, with love. Because we know you play with love.
There were stunning scenes as the players sheepishly made their way over to the club’s main stand that was filled with a huge banner telling the players to speak up
‘But we expect you guys to respect our jersey […] and if we have to take our losses to do so with our heads held high. Go OL.’
Now in a new statement, the group have further criticised the three ‘little b***hes’.
The statement read: ‘Lukeba and Barcola, where is your dignity and your respect when a few weeks after proclaiming the love of your Club and the supposed journey that you still have to make under this jersey, you succumb as if by magic to the ringing and stumbling sirens of another club?
‘Are you playing the Lyonnais at heart card? You are just paper Lyonnais that our memory will forget as quickly as possible without forgiving your lack of respect.
‘Contrary to the Club’s communication, which is silly and inappropriate, we wish you an obscure career, polishing the sidelines. May your bank account be as well stocked as the feeling of contempt you inspire in us.’
Bradley Barcola and Castello Lukeba were also targeted by Bad Gones after they left Lyon
Gusto has started the last three Premier League games for Chelsea and looks to be the club’s first choice right back after Reece James suffered a long-term injury.
He had been loaned back to Lyon for the remainder of the 2022-23 campaign and has since made five appearances in total for the Blues.
Gusto started his career with Lyon, rising up from the youth ranks and featuring 54 times across three seasons.
The group – known fully as Bad Gones 1987 – have a secretive reputation and a public rebuke of players on camera is an unusual step for the ultras.
Laurent Blanc is already under pressure at Lyon after picking up one point in four games
The stunning outburst from the Lyon ultras caps off a turbulent start to the season for the club that has left them rooted to the bottom of the table after three defeats and one draw.
Laurent Blanc’s future looks increasingly in doubt despite the former PSG and France manager guiding Les Gones to a seventh place finish in his first season in charge. This year, however, he has overseen a difficult transfer window that saw a number of his top stars sold.
Lyon have also endured a tumultuous summer off the pitch, with former owner and president Jean-Michel Aulas suing new owner John Textor for defamation.
Aulas owned the club from 1987 until December last year, when he sold it to Textor for £670million.
