Lionel Messi has reportedly sent a transfer request to David Beckham at Inter Miami – to add to his best pal's potential move to the club.
Fresh off the back of his eighth Ballon d'Or triumph in Paris, the Argentina World Cup winning hero could be reunited with former Barcelona team-mate Luis Suarez as well as two other familiar faces.
Veteran forward Suarez is said to gave already agreed a deal to join before the 2024 season to follow in the footsteps of Messi as well as Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba – and potentially two others.

According to El Gol Digital, Suarez is very close to accepting a proposal which would see him make his MLS debut later in the year after his Gremio contract ends, with Messi also keen on a deal for Ivan Rakitic of Sevilla.
The duo won the Champions League together in 2014/15 and Inter Miami's XI could suddenly become reminiscent of Barcelona all-stars.
The report adds that current Barca skipper Sergi Roberto is also a potential target, with both he and Rakitic out of contract at the end of the season.

He said in 2020: "My relationship with them was never one of close friends.
"I believe that's hard in a group of 23 or 24 players. My closest friends were Andres Iniesta, [Marc-Andre] ter Stegen, [Kevin-Prince] Boateng and Junior Firpo last season.
