Manchester United have a new deadline for a takeover to be completed, according to reports. It is claimed November is a planned time for everything to be finalised as Sheikh Jassim and Sir Jim Ratcliffe continue to hold talks.
The Glazers are yet to accept an offer following several rounds of bids earlier this year. Qatari billionaire Sheikh Jassim and INEOS founder Ratcliffe quickly became the two frontrunners to buy United.
Reports have claimed that Avram and Joel Glazer are not as keen on selling the Red Devils as the rest of their family. United supporters have continued to protest against the ownership, most recently after the 3-2 home win against Nottingham Forest on August 26.
A quick resolution does not seem likely despite the Glazers first signalling their intent to sell almost 10 months ago. However, the end of the saga could be on the horizon in the coming weeks.
A report from 90min claims that United and Raine Group, the investment bank overseeing the sale, had planned for everything to be tied up by November. It is said that talks continue with the main parties involved despite Avram and Joel Glazer’s reluctance to sell.

Sheikh Jassim’s fifth and final offer was said to be the highest. The Qatari would take full control of United, cutting ties completely with the Glazers.
However, Ratcliffe is still in the running. INEOS’ offer would be for a majority stake in United and allow the Glazers to remain at Old Trafford.
A figure of £6billion was initially thought to be enough to convince the Glazers to sell. However, 90min reports that the Glazers are instead looking for a figure nearer to £7.7bn, which is Forbes’ most recent valuation of the Dallas Cowboys.
A resolution to the saga does not appear any closer with either of the bidders. But answers are set to be revealed by the new November deadline.

United legend Gary Neville again vented against the Glazers following Sunday’s dramatic loss to Arsenal. The pundit insisted the Americans will sell when the money is right.
Neville said on Sky Sports: “It is a game for them. They think it is a toy. Of course they will sell, they are desperate for money. They can’t compete on FFP anymore.
“Manchester United are talking like a mid-table club when it comes to the transfer market. They turn over £500m, they are one of the highest revenue-generating clubs in the world.
“Chelsea, Arsenal and all these clubs can sign players and United are scrambling around with FFP. It will seem I always mention the owners and I will because they are still messing around with this football club.”
