Newcastle's Champions League heroes include two stars born just 10 miles apart – both less than 30 minutes from the ground.
Miguel Almiron's opening goal, Newcastle's first in the Champions League in more than two decades, set the tone for Dan Burn and Sean Longstaff to make a mark for the locals. Blyth's Burn and Longstaff of North Shields were born just 10 miles apart across five years in the 1990s.
Their local roots made the result even more special with Fabian Schar making it four after Lucas Hernandez had got one back for the hosts. The result was made even more special considering PSG's depth of stars and squad value of over €1billion – the third highest in the world.

After the victory, Longstaff told Jules Breach on TNT Sports: "It's some night. I think we knew it was going to be special with the atmosphere but for me and Burny [Dan Burn] to score on a night like tonight is pretty surreal and I am lost for words really.
"It is [a dream come true]. I think to be honest there are some of us that thought three years ago we were probably out of the door and it wasn't a great place to be. I am so proud to be from Newcastle and I am over the moon."
