Everton's incoming new owners 777 Partners have faced yet another protest from their own fans.
The American private investment company agreed a deal to buy a 94.1% controlling stake in the Toffees from current chief Farhad Moshiri this week. Should the takeover be completed, it'll be the eighth football investment they've made.
As well as minority stakes in La Liga side Sevilla and Australian club Melbourne Victory, they own Genoa in Serie A, Standard Liege in Belgium, Vasco da Gama in Brazil, Red Star in France and Hertha Berlin in Germany.

Hertha was their previous most recent acquisition in March, and since then they've been relegated from the Bundesliga and had lost four of their opening five games of the season upon their return to the second tier heading into this weekend.
Their fans have been left extremely unhappy as a result and they made their feelings perfectly clear shortly after kick-off for their home clash against Braunschweig on Sunday (September 17). Multiple banners were unveiled in the stands to send a message to 777 co-founder Josh Wander.

Combined they read: "Wander: Insurance for football fans? Our investments are called identity and co-determination. Josh Wander, the only thing we assure you is our disapproval of you!"
Hertha went on to win 3-0 thanks to a hat-trick by striker Haris Tabakovic. It's not just them who have protested against 777, with several of the other clubs they own doing so too having struggled since their arrival.
Genoa were also relegated in their first season after being taken over in 2021 and were docked a point in February for failing to pay outstanding taxes and contributions on time. Liege supporters similarly called for them to leave earlier this month after going winless in their first six matches.
