Rangers fan loses his mind after Aberdeen score and is spotted battering a gate

A Rangers fan was spotted letting out his rage in stunning fashion during the 3-1 defeat to Aberdeen.

Stefan Gartenmann, Jamie McGrath and Jack McKenzie all scored at Ibrox to send the home fans into meltdown. Michael Beale’s side suffered their third defeat of the season already after just seven games in the Scottish Premiership.

Growing discontent throughout the affair culminated in a chorus of boos ringing around the stadium at the end of the game. And one incensed fan’s reaction summed up the mood inside the stadium better than any.

McGrath doubled Aberdeen’s lead in the 68th minute, leading one supporter in the stands to completely lose his head. A social media clip which has since gone viral shows the punter in the front row wildly and repeatedly battering a gate.

Yet it was not the only display of anger at Ibrox on Saturday. Another social media clip shows fans berating and gesturing passionately towards captain James Tavernier, who went over to the supporters to apologise post-match.

The Light Blues had started off brightly and edged possession in the first half despite trailing to Gartenmann after a defensive lapse from a corner. Scott Wright was sent off at 2-0 just 25 minutes after coming off the bench, while Abdallah Sima’s 75th minute strike proved nothing more than a consolation.

Beale’s men are now seven points behind bitter rivals Celtic in the league. They next face Aris Limassol in the Europa League on Thursday, having beaten Real Betis 1-0 in their opener.
