Roberto Firmino fuming at Sadio Mane’s act during celebration in Saudi Arabia

Sadio Mane upset his former Liverpool team-mate Roberto Firmino as the Al-Nassr forward celebrated by jumping on the back of the Brazilian despite them now opponents in Saudi Arabia.

The former Anfield team-mates were a part of a formidable frontline alongside Mohamed Salah as they won the Champions League as well as the Premier League and both of the domestic cups in their time together at Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp.

But as a new look front three came about, Mane was sold to Bayern Munich in a £35million deal in 2022, but a disastrous maiden campaign and a public fall out with manager Thomas Tuchel saw his flogged to Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr in a £24m fee this summer – seeing him pocket £650,000 per week.

Firmino remained at Anfield a season longer before he left as a free agent following the expiration of his contract to bring an end to a seven-year spell at Liverpool which brought 111 goals in 362 games. But despite their successful time together at Liverpool, the pair, who are both 31-years-old, are reaping lucrative contracts in the Saudi Pro League.

And on Friday the two faced off against each other as Mane’s Al-Nassr hosted Al-Ahli in a goal laden Saudi matchup. Mane ended up on the right side of the scoreline in a 4-3 win which saw a double from Ronaldo and Anderson Talisca seal the points, with former Barcelona midfielder Franck Kessie and ex-Manchester City winger Riyad Mahrez notable names on the scoresheet for the visitors.

Firmino immediately turned round in shock to see the Senegal international looking back at him and putting his arm around him. Firmino glanced back at Mane before turning the other way and walking away.
