Wolves are in talks to sign Strasbourg pair Habib Diarra and Jean-Ricner Bellegarde but opening offers were knocked back on Wednesday night.
Wanderers are working hard to bring in new players before Friday’s transfer deadline.
Manchester City reached a verbal agreement with them for Matheus Nunes worth £47.2million on Wednesday.
And that laves the club needing reinforcements in the center of the park.
Diarra, 19, is being targeted as a replacement for Nunes after impressing scouts with his performances in France.

He made 29 appearances in Ligue 1 last season, notching three goals and three assists and plays for France at youth level.
Bellegarde, 25, played 30 matches in the French top flight last term, contributing two goals and nine assists. He also represents France at youth level.
Wolves have also progressed in talks to sign Uruguay defender Santi Bueno from Girona.
