Alica Schmidt – aka the world's sexiest athlete – has laid down the gauntlet to Manchester City star Erling Haaland.
German sprinter Schmidt, 24, is currently competing at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary, where she helped her team reach the final of the 4x400m mixed relay last week.
Her attention has now turned to her upcoming solo events – but being laser-focused on the task at hand didn't stop her from considering the prospect of facing Haaland, 23, in a race.
She was asked by Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet if she would win against their nation's star footballer, who has often shown a freakish turn of pace himself on the pitch for club and country.

Schmidt replied: “Ooo, I don't know – maybe. I think, on 400m, yes. But on 200m, it would be more difficult. But I would be happy if the race takes place any time."
The interview prompted: "When?" To which she responded: "I don't know, maybe I'll have to ask him that. But I'm always ready."
Schmidt then turned to the camera and officially called him out, saying: "Yeah so, Haaland, if you're ready to race, I would be happy. Let's see who's faster!”
