Fans spot Usyk’s weakness after being caught out against both AJ and Dubois

Boxing fans spotted a potential weakness in Oleksandr Usyk before he was downed with a controversial low blow on Saturday evening.

Usyk defended his world titles against Daniel Dubios, when he stopped the Brit in the ninth having already dropped him before the decisive blow was landed.

Before the Ukrainian had Dubois on the canvas, there had been controversy with Dubois landing a low blow on the champ. However, replays showed that the hit was borderline, and some fans were convinced Dubois should be the world champion.

Usyk was given almost four minutes to recover from the blow – and fans spotted a similar situation in his bout with Anthony Joshua.

"Joshua hurt Usyk so bad with a body shot he pretended it was low to buy time. Does he have a glass body, and can Dubois exploit it," one fan asked ahead of the bout. A second added: "Same shot, same place, same ref! Next person to fight Usyk has to go for the body and they win!"

"Cats out the bag, Usyk not the model pro he’s made out to be," a third said. And another added: "Usyk can’t take body shots, so he cheats!"

Dubois was fuming after the bell, and he claimed he was robbed of the world titles: "I didn't think that was a low blow.

"I have been cheated out of victory, what else can I say? I have been cheated out, that was a win tonight, I will come again."

While Dubois' promoter Frank Warren added: "He has been cheated out of it. That is all he worked on in camp, work to the body. The referee got it badly wrong… That was not a low blow, it is nonsense, total nonsense."
