Task Force too good for rivals at Ripon as colt wins Champion Two-Year-Old Trophy to stay unbeaten

The Middle Park Stakes at Newmarket on September 30 is on the agenda for Task Force after the Ralph Beckett-trained colt made it two wins from as many runs.
He produced an eye-catching length and a quarter victory from stablemate Matters Most in the Champion Two-Year-Old Trophy at Ripon.
The Rossa Ryan-ridden 11-8 favourite showed signs of inexperience as he backed up his impressive Salisbury debut win.
Task Force’s pedigree makes him very interesting. The Juddmonte bred and owned colt is by the great Frankel while his dam Special Duty won both the English and French 1,000 Guineas in 2010.
Ralph Beckett-trained colt Task Force made it two wins from as many runs on Monday
Plans are on hold for Nostrum after the Sir Michael Stoute-trained colt finished lame when hot favourite for the Strensall Stakes at York on Saturday.
It was the second race running that the highly-touted colt had not run up to expectations but the latest start was way below expectations.
