Aaron Rodgers has vowed to ‘rise yet again’ following the Achilles injury which ended his debut season with the Jets prematurely on Monday night against the Buffalo Bills.
Rodgers posted on Instagram: ‘Thank you to every person that has reached out, called, texted, DM’d, connected through a friend, etc. It has meant a ton to me, and I’ll try and get back to all of you soon
‘I’m completely heartbroken and moving through all of the emotions, but deeply touched and humbled by the support and love. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers as I begin the healing process today.
‘The night is darkest before the dawn. And I shall rise yet again.
‘Proud of my guys, 1-0’.

Rodgers’ 2023 season ended after just four plays as the new Jets QB tore his Achilles tendon
Jets head coach Robert Saleh has confirmed Zach Wilson will replace Aaron Rodgers
Rodgers’ new beginning with the Jets lasted only four plays before it came to a sudden and violent end.
After his offensive line gave in to constant pressure by the Bills pass rush, Leonard Floyd got to Rodgers in the backfield.
Rodgers’ foot got caught in the artificial turf at MetLife Stadium and his Achilles snapped – requiring the QB to be helped off the field and then carted to the locker room.
After further evaluation by team doctors and an MRI, he was diagnosed with an Achilles rupture – ending his season.
Now the Jets are in an unenviable position: barring a major acquisition, they’ll have to return to Zach Wilson as their full-time starting quarterback.
Wilson only tossed for 1,688 yards in nine games for the Jets last season as he helmed a very inconsistent offense in New York.
Things will not get better for the Jets – as they travel to Dallas to take on the Cowboys this Sunday.
