Sky Sports reporter has near miss by reversing car on live broadcast

Look out! Sky Sports reporter has a near miss by a reversing car during a live broadcast on the red carpet in Leicester Square… but he doesn’t even flinch

  • There was an awkward moment on Sky Sports during one live outside broadcast
  • Hosts became concerned when a car reversed close to reporter Craig Slater
  • Slater saw the funny side but maintained his professionalism after the near miss

There was a sharp intake of breath at Sky Sports HQ as one of their presenters had a near miss from being hit by a car during a live broadcast.

Craig Slater was speaking live from Leicester Square at the film premiere for new Hollywood film, Ferrari.

As Slater spoke to camera he was perilously close to being clipped by a car that entered the shot by reversing down the red carpet.

Slater, who has been a key fixture for Sky on their F1 coverage, appeared not to even notice the near miss as he spoke about the premiere.

The black car missed him narrowly, to the shock of presenters back in Sky Sports News’ studio

The black car whizzed back behind Slater and the hosts back at Sky HQ were stunned that he failed to notice.

It appeared to miss him by inches and yet he kept his composure and even went on to see the funny side.

‘Craig, watch yourself, take care!’ one studio member said.

Slater hit the headlines over in Las Vegas when he wore a sparkly jacket for his coverage in the paddock.
