Harry Kane scores screamer as dream start to life at Bayern Munich continues

Harry Kane fired home a 25-yard screamer as Bayern Munich secured a vital 2-1 victory over Wolfsburg.

With Bayer Leverkusen showing no signs of letting up in their pursuit to end Bayern's dominance, Thomas Tuchel's men could not afford to lose any more ground on Xabi Alonso's side. However, the ex-Chelsea boss is lucky that he has the England captain in the form of his life.

Kane, 30, scored his 21st Bundesliga goal of the campaign and his 25th in all competitions when he leathered home an effort from 25-yards. His 13th goal in eight Bundesliga matches was one for Kane's highlight reel.

The former Tottenham ace received a pass from Thomas Muller 25-yards out from goal. He carried on his run into the penalty area, half-expecting the forward to try and thread a pass into his path.

However, Kane's goal-scoring touch is so strong, he ignored all possible passing options and opted to whip the ball into the top right hand corner instead. Wolfsburg goalkeeper Koen Casteels may as well have been sitting in the stands, he was that far away from the effort.

The Bayern players immediately flocked towards the hitman, who just cannot stop scoring at the moment. Not that this would be of any surprise to Tuchel, who was swooning over the ex-Spurs man at the start of the week.

The German said: "Harry is Harry, he’s a phenomenon in front of goal. He’s a top professional and a top guy and he proves it, he steps up and he proves it.

"He steps up, it's totally normal for him to take responsibility. Totally normal to put the effort in, in a defensive performance like this today.

"This is very rare to have this kind of quality, to be decisive all the time and then be a team player, that’s why we’re grateful to have him, he's a true leader."
