Liverpool and Arsenal have been placed on red alert following comments made by Brazilian midfielder Andre Trindade. The 22-year-old has been linked with a move to the Premier League and he admits it is a dream of his to play in England.
Andre was strongly linked with a move to Liverpool in the summer. The Reds are still in the market for a defensive midfielder and he fits the bill.
Arsenal are also rumoured to be interested in Andre, with sporting director Edu’s trip to Fluminense in October fuelling speculation over a potential raid. The Gunners are on the search for midfield reinforcement, with doubts over Thomas Partey’s future at the Emirates due to recurring injury problems.
Fluminense reiterated that Andre would stay with them until at least after the Club World Cup. But after securing qualification to Friday’s final, he has now revealed his desire to play in the Premier League.

Andre is fully focused on Friday’s match but is open to a move afterwards. He said: “I watch the Premier League and it’s a big dream to play there.
“I’m focused on finishing the season with Fluminense and realising our own dream of winning the Club World Cup. But my dream is clear, to be a Premier League player.”
Fluminense will play either Manchester City or Urawa Red Diamonds in the final. Andre is looking forward to a potential clash with Pep Guardiola’s side.
He added: “Over the last five years, Manchester City are the best team in the world and everyone in Brazil stops to watch them play. It will be an incredible experience to play in the Club World Cup Final against City if they get in through to it.”

Andre has been a regular for Fluminense since making his professional debut in September 2020. He has spent the vast majority of his career so far in defensive midfield and has won four caps for Brazil.
Fluminense president Mario Bittencourt admitted last month that it was likely Andre would leave after the Club World Cup. He told Globo: “We are waiting. Today, there is no concrete proposal for Andre. But we are sure that after the Club World Cup – he will play in the World Cup – a stratospheric proposal will arrive.
“It could be the biggest sale in the club’s history. We could possibly lose both (Andre and defender Nino), but we are working to replace them.”
