Man Utd chiefs ‘make Jadon Sancho plans’ after disobeying his team-mates

Jadon Sancho told not to use first team facilities

Erik ten Hag has the backing of Manchester United’s dressing room in his stand-off with Jadon Sancho with the club readying themselves to offload him in January. The United forward has been exiled from the first team group after publicly calling the manager a liar on social media then refusing to apologise.

But sources close to the situation insist it is not just Ten Hag who disapproves of the way Sancho has conducted himself but senior players in the squad.

Sancho has been told by allies inside the dressing room to swallow his pride and apologise to the manager for both his attitude and the accusations made on social media.

But he has so far refused to do so. The forward still feels he is being made a scapegoat at the club and maintained Ten Hag’s suggestions he had not giving 100 per cent in training before he was dropped for the trip to Arsenal early last month were simply not true.

With Sancho banished to train on his own and eat with the academy kids pending an apology that United insist must be sincere not token, the club are ready to listen to offers for him in January.

And if a club comes in for him they accept they will have to take a significant hit on the £72million outlay they paid Borussia Dortmund for the ex-England man in July 2021.

United have privately likened the situation between manager and player as similar to those faced by Jurgen Klopp and Mikel Arteta in the early stages of their tenure at Liverpool and Arsenal, respectively.

But they have been keen to point out that Sancho does not have general support from the senior players who are demanding the same high standards as their manager throughout the club.
