F1 team confirms new name for 2024 season as full grid revealed

The Sauber F1 team have been rebranded to the Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber for the 2024 season. This name change comes after the team’s technical partnership with Alfa Romeo concluded at the end of the 2023 campaign.

The Alfa Romeo name has been attached to the Sauber project since 2019. During that time the likes of Charles Leclerc and Kimi Raikkonen have driven for the team, although that era has now come to an end.

Instead, the Sauber organisation is preparing for 2026 when they will transition into the Audi works team, with the German manufacturer set to produce their own power units as they enter the F1 grid for the first time.

However, for the next two seasons, the team will rebrand as Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber. Kick – an online streaming platform – has also picked up the naming rights for the chassis.

Discussing the new partnership, team representative Alessandro Alunni Bravi said: “Sauber has always been about innovation, breaking the mould and defying convention. The partnership with Kick.com is the latest and boldest display of the philosophy that drives us.

“Kick.com is redefining the way live streaming is done and they will adopt the same disruptive approach in the world of Formula 1. With Kick.com, our goal is to make the next step in finding new and innovative ways to get closer to our fans.”

Aston Martin will also have a different name for the 2024 F1 season as Saudi Arabian oil company Aramco become the sole title sponsor of the team, which now reads as the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team
