Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has posted a video on social media, less than 24 hours after he suddenly left TNT Sport’s Champions League coverage.
The former England captain was in his usual spot to the left of Laura Woods for Newcastle United’s controversial 1-1 draw with Paris Saint-Germain. At the end of the match, Ally McCoist had to shuffle down from the gantry and analyse the game alongside Jermaine Jenas as Ferdinand was not in front of the camera.
Woods made it clear Ferdinand, 45, had to dash off due to ‘unforeseen circumstances’. After resulting reports claimed the Premier League legend was unwell, he has since uploaded a video of himself to banish any concerns.

Ferdinand posted a clip of him and TNT commentator Darren Fletcher riding on an airport shuttle. Ferdinand was smiling and laughing while he was saying: “This is the way to travel man. When you come with me Fletch, this is what happens.”
He then appeared to suggest his early exit was due to a flight he was close to missing in the French capital. “I almost didn’t make this flight man," Ferdinand added.

"I almost didn’t make this game. But it’s Manchester United in Istanbul. I had to be there with this man."
It's fortunate Ferdinand is not under the weather, as Galatasaray is not a place for those with weak stomachs. He will be analysing United's must win clash against the Turkish giants in Istanbul.
United are in desperate need of a victory after losing three of their opening four Champions League matches against Bayern Munich, FC Copenhagen and Galatasaray. Erik ten Hag's men will exit the competition if they lose to Okan Buruk's side at the Ali Sami Yen Spor Kompleksi stadium.
United fans will all be hoping their recent good form doesn't disappear on the pitch, like Ferdinand did in front of the camera.
