Arsenal secured a hard-fought three points at Everton on Sunday, with Trossard grabbing the winner with a fine goal.

Goodison Park has long been a hoodoo ground for the Gunners, with no wins there in the Premier League since 2017, with Sean Dyche also proving to be one of Mikel Arteta’s toughest opponents.

But on this occasion they outclassed the Toffees, though one aspect of their game caught the eye, with many of their 11 corners being played short, including the one that lead to the winning goal.

‘They [Everton] have a lot of tall guys and they’re good on set-pieces. We wanted to exploit them. We work hard on everything tactically,’ Trossard told Sky Sports post-match.

‘It’s always nice to help your team, especially with a winning goal. I think it’s a great action. I called B [Bukayo Saka] and he saw me with a perfect lay-off. It went in perfectly and I’m very happy.

‘I’ve been practicing all my life on both feet and you can see it helps you. It’s so helpful if you’re good on both feet – you can go both ways and score off either.
